Operation Cyclone was a covert operation undertaken by the CIA in an effort to arm and finance the Afghan Mujahideen against Soviet Military intervention in Afghanistan. One of the most effective and state of the art weapons supplied was the FIM-92 Stinger; a surface-to-air missile system. It proved to be a formidable weapon on the battlefield and helped steer the course of the conflict. The hoodie graphic features the Dari Persian word "نیش" simply meaning "Sting."
